Over the years, there have been all sorts of golf movies out of Hollywood. Check out Rotten Tomatoes’ Top 12, with 1996’s Happy Gilmore only coming in at No 12.
12. Happy Gilmore (1996)
The original sports comedy stars Adam Sandler in the titular role as a failed ice hockey player trying to raise money to save his grandmother’s house. Discovering he’s unconventionally good at golf, he enters paid tournaments, much to the distaste of professional players. Happy Gilmore 2 is streaming now on Netflix; check out our review here.
