Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been the subject of multiple reports that he’s Barbara Broccoli’s choice to be cast as the next James Bond.

Earlier this year major outlets claimed the 34-year-old had been offered the role of a lifetime to replace Daniel Craig as 007.

Meanwhile, the rising star was very coy with journalists asking him about the matter around the release of his latest film The Fall Guy, further adding fuel to the rumour mill.

The Kraven the Hunter actor continues to be the bookies’ favourite and his latest Instagram stories could be teasing that his Bond announcement is just around the corner.

Johnson has been sporting a beard and long hair for the past couple of months, having just wrapped on Danny Boyle’s zombie reboot 28 Years Later.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Taylor-Johnson posted a picture of his himself with his long hair and beard with the caption “from one look…”

This was followed by another snap captioned “to another”, with he star sporting short locks and stubble in the gym.

Considering all the Bond speculation around him, plus the fact that he’s just teased a new look that’s exactly what he would need to play 007, suggests that an official announcement could be imminent.

Assuming there’s an official new 007 announcement in the coming weeks or months, we’d also be finding out Bond 26’s director and release date.

Our best bet would be that the latter could be as early as autumn 2025 in EON Productions’ traditional late October slot, or the following year.

Whatever the case, it’s looking like the wait is probably almost over for Bond fans who’ve been waiting three years since the release of No Time To Die for news of the new star.
