The Last Song: film review and trailer
MILEY Cyrus dips her pretty toe in the world of grown-up drama with this formulaic weepie from the prolific Nicholas Sparks.
Teenager Ronnie (Cyrus) wears a permanent scowl during a summer spent at the beach house of her estranged father Steve (Greg Kinnear).
One compensation is the ridiculously handsome blue-eyed dreamboat Will (Liam Hemsworth) who becomes her new boyfriend.
All carry hefty emotional baggage, secrets and tragic destinies guaranteed to provoke tears or the need for a sick bag.
The Georgia locations are handsome and the people are pretty but any resemblance to real life is purely coincidental.
