Avengers Endgame SHOCK: NO post-credits scene in Avengers Endgame CONFIRMED
AVENGERS ENDGAME had its world premiere in Los Angeles yesterday and to fans dismay, the credits were cut. So will there be a post-credits scene?
Avengers: Endgame trailer sees superheroes 'keep promise'
Avengers: Endgame is mere days away from its UK debut and fans' anticipation is at an all-time high. Initial critics' Twitter reactions to the fourth Avengers movie have been overwhelmingly positive. But fans were quick to notice the world premiere had one glaring omission: credits scenes.
Will there be a post-credits scene?
There is no post-credits scene, nor is there a mid-credits scene, during Avengers: Endgame.
As the movie wraps up ten years of storytelling, the lack of a teaser scene is no surprise.
The information leaked yesterday from Daniel RPK, a well known and often reliable leaker of Marvel information, tweeted: "After talking to a few people can now confirm - NO POST CREDITS SCENES in Endgame. Just so you know."
Likewise, from last night's World Premiere, Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com reported the credits were cut short to make way for a cast speech.
He tweeted: “For those asking, I don’t know if Avengers Endgame has a post-credits scene.
“They cut the credits for a cast speech, so there may be one for release. Stay seated.”
AVENGERS 5: WILL THERE BE ANOTHER AVENGERS MOVIE?
Mid and post credits scenes are a trope de rigeuer in superhero films.
In Marvel movies, the mid-credits scenes tend to be the ones of import for future films.
The scenes at the very end of the credits, however, tend to be humourous teases.
For Avengers: Endgame not to set up Phase Four of the MCU would be a grave mistake, one the Russo brothers are not likely to make.

Many fans anticipate the mid and post-credits scenes will hint at future crossovers now Disney has bought Fox and its assets.
These include Fantastic Four and X-Men, amongst others, who would make a powerful addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Some fans speculate the mid and post-credits scenes will instead tease the new Marvel movies already in works.
These include a Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) standalone movie, as well as Black Panther 2.
A Spider-Man sequel is also in the works from Sony, though there may be a deal struck between the two studios for a Spider-Man: Far From home teaser.
