Sharron Davies challenges popular view about age and wisdom
CONTRARY to popular belief age does not equate to wisdom – at least according to former Olympic swimming silver medallist Sharron Davies.
Sharon, 49, is now a mother of three and a motivational speaker. She is also an ambassador for the 2012 Olympics and will be commentating for the BBC.
“Life is all about learning,” she says. “As a motivational speaker I tell people that at 17 you think you know it all, at 27 that you think you know a little and at 37 that you know nothing.”
The ever-glamorous Sharron insists the biggest change brought about by getting older is no longer being concerned about one’s supposed lack of knowledge.
She adds: “As I approach 50 in November it actually bothers me less that I know nothing!”
