Are you sick of ageism on TV?
THE BBC is engulfed in a fresh ageism row as Strictly Come Dancing favourite Karen Hardy steps aside to make way for two younger dancers.
Angry fans of the hit prime-time show today demanded to know why Karen, the oldest of the show’s
female stars at 39, will no longer continue as one of the main dancers.
EXPRESS YOURSELF: STRICTLY DANCER GETS THE BOOT
It is understood that Karen, a former world ballroom champion, is being replaced by Katya Virshilas, a 25-year-old from Lithuania, and Australian Natalie Lowe, 28.
Her departure comes just six weeks after 66-year-old Arlene Phillips was ousted from the judging panel and replaced with 30-year-old former show winner Alesha Dixon.
