Believers in Britain know that Brexit will be a success – EXPRESS COMMENT
YET again Boris Johnson acts as the antidote to the doom and gloom approach many in Westminster and Whitehall are taking to Brexit.
Boris Johnson says that that leaving the EU can be 'comfortably' negotiated within two years
His bold declaration that leaving the EU can be “comfortably” negotiated within two years will echo in the ears of Britain’s negotiators as they carry on with the latest round of formal talks in Brussels.
Boris Johnson is the perfect embodiment of the can-do attitude that used to be one of this country’s defining characteristics.
It is though an approach that Theresa May and David Davis also share.
All three have shown great willingness to get on with the job of Brexit for the good of the nation.
Remoaners have no faith in this country
This stands in stark contrast to those who maintain their opposition to a clean break with the EU and suggest that Britain is too small and insignificant to function away from the embrace of Brussels.
These Remoaners have no faith in this country, its people and its future as a free and genuinely democratic nation.
Time alone will prove that Mr Johnson and other Brexit supporters are right and those who write off Britain are wrong.

Oxford student Lavinia Woodward, who stabbed her boyfriend in drug-fuelled rage, escapes jail
Let-off for violent student
It seems nowadays that a fancy education and promising career is all somebody needs to get away with violent crime.
What other conclusion can be drawn from the sentencing of Lavinia Woodward? Woodward, a 24-year-old medical student at Oxford University, yesterday walked free from court despite having stabbed her boyfriend with a bread knife.
The judge involved had previously said he didn’t want to jail her because it would affect her future as a heart surgeon.
It is a crucial tenet of the law that it applies equally to all and yet it is impossible to imagine a working class man convicted of a similar crime ever getting the same lenient treatment as Woodward.
She is old enough and apparently intelligent enough to take responsibility for her behaviour.
She deserved jail and if that damaged her career she would have had nobody to blame but herself.
This let-off is a damning indictment of our soft justice system.

How we all miss Sir Terry
Sir Terry Wogan has been voted the best BBC radio presenter of all time by his former colleagues.
You don’t have to be a paid-up member of the TOGs (or “Terry’s Old Geezers and Gals”, as fans of the late DJ styled themselves) to wonder what the ever genial and constantly self-deprecating Sir Terry would have made of this well-deserved accolade.
