Let's talk the growing economy up, not down
BRITAIN’S economy is said to have reached “escape velocity” as the recovery gathers pace.
The latest assessment is more evidence that the economy is pushing ahead much faster than Treasury forecasts have so far allowed for.
It could just be that the pent-up entrepreneurial spirits of millions of people, together with the mountain of potential investment funds that large companies have been sitting on, are finally being unleashed.
What is certain is that when it comes to economics, confidence is infectious.
Nobody, from the most prosperous business leader to workers on the minimum wage, has any interest in talking the economy down.
So anybody who tries to should be given very short shrift.
