Your country needs you
SIR Terry Leahy made it all the way from the shop floor to the top of Tesco.
As he prospered so did the company, powered by his vision of a business built around the needs of its customers.
After such a high-pressure career Sir Terry could be forgiven for wanting a peaceful retirement. But at just 54 he is far too young for cocoa and slippers.
If he could only be persuaded to do the same for the national finances or the state education system as he has done for Tesco then his greatest achievements would not be behind him but ahead.
