Love Island 2018: Samira Mighty's show partner Frankie Foster speaks out on SHOCK exit
LOVE ISLAND 2018 contestant Samira Mighty has decided to leave the villa to “follow her heart” and continue her romance with Frankie Foster, and now her on-show partner has spoken out about her exit.
Love Island: Samira in tears over losing Frankie
Samira, 22, was left in tears when her short romance with the business management student came to an end when he was voted out of the Love Island villa last week.
Following the news, Frankie, 22, has uploaded a picture of him with the West End star with the caption: “Who’s heard the news!?
“I am so excited, just want to give her a huge hug #loveisland #love #island #frankieandsamira.”
Frankie also answered questions from many of his 99,000 Instagram fans regarding her exit.
One fan asked: “Are you excited that Samira is coming out?”
I told her to stick it out it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and only a few weeks left
He replied: “Can’t wait to see her!”
In a since-deleted post, he was also asked: “Do you want Samira to leave the villa for you?”
He replied: “Nope, I told her to stick it out it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and only a few weeks left.”
In another deleted post, Frankie was asked: “Are you going to see Samira when she comes out of the villa?”
He responded with: “Yep will see her as soon as I can!”
Viewers will see Samira announcing her departure on tonight’s show.
She tells her housemates: “So, these past couple of days I haven’t been myself and I’ve struggled to be happy in here and have fun and I had a taste of what I’ve wanted and it’s gone.
"I’ve really tried and been tossing and turning about what I’m going to do. I think the best thing for me to get closure on the Frankie situation and for me to be happy is to go today.
"I’m really sad but it’s a good thing. I’m really happy that I’m doing this and I feel really strong. I love all of you so much. You are all so amazing.”
She later confides in her friend Dani Dyer, 22, about her exit.
She tells her: “I finally got what I wanted and now I feel like I’m back at square one but worst. It’s unfinished business.
“Obviously Frankie is gone and I had a little bit of what I could have and I really liked it.
“But I don’t feel like I’m going to meet anyone else and have a connection with anyone else.
“You know how hard it is for me to meet someone and actually get a connection with them.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
