EastEnders star whips fans into frenzy with ENGAGEMENT announcement: ‘Crazy’
AN EASTENDERS actor has popped the question to his long-term partner, describing the moment as “beautiful and crazy”.
Jonny Labey performs jazzy number on Dance Dance Dance
Jonny Labey, who played Paul Coker in the BBC One soap, got down on one knee to ask his long-term girlfriend Chrissy Brooke for her hand in marriage and announced the news via his Instagram page earlier today.
The 25-year-old and his new fiancee, a west end star, seemed happier than ever as the pair beamed a smile for the camera while he held on to her hand, flashing the ring.
He posted the snap with the caption: “She said YES... a while back!
“It was obvious from the moment we met, she's the perfect balance of kind, beautiful and crazy that I'll love for the rest of my life! I love you @chrissy_brooke
“Here's to many more years.”
He added: “Thank you to @royalasscher for the beautiful ring!

The adorable offering received a flood of messages from his 52,000 followers.
One commented: “My absolute faves, finally the world knows xxxx.”(sic)
Another added: “Congratulations you’re an amazing couple!”(sic)
A third penned: “Congratulations Jonny and Chrissy, wonderful news.”
Following the announcement, Jonny shared a video of his wife-to-be on top of a cliff mimicking a snippet from a Rocky movie.
Sporting a yellow two-piece she held her arms in the air, yelling “Dragon”.
In 2015, Jonny joined EastEnders and is widely remembered for his relationship with Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid).
He was killed off in an explosive storyline, seeing him the victim of a homophobic attack.
Jonny moved on to judge CBBC talent show Taking The Next Step in 2016.
A year later, he showed off his dancing talents alongside Chrissy on ITV show Dance Dance Dance.
The pair impressed judges Ashley Banjo, Tina Landon and Timor Steffens and eventually won the show.
Continuing to share the stage, the twosome also currently star in Strictly Ballroom the Musical.
Jonny portrays character Scott Hastings, while Chrissy plays Muriel Shunt.
