Eamonn Holmes admits that he's never seen Ruth braless
Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford are currently enjoying a sun-soaked getaway in Lake Como, Italy, as they film for their TV show, How The Other Half Live.
And today, the northern Irish broadcaster treated his 386,000 Instagram followers to a sneak-peek at their break as he uploaded a series of snaps.
But, one capture caused particularly great delight amongst some fans, after the 58-year-old joked that Ruth had been standing near to a very famous face.
In the candid photo, Ruth could be seen standing in the distance as she talked to some fellow holiday-makers.
Meanwhile in the foreground, a man, who Eamonn claimed looked very similar to George Clooney, had been captured gazing into the distance as he walked towards the camera.
Noticing a similarity between the gentleman’s appearance and that of George Clooney, Eamonn was quick to point out the resemblance.
As he shared the shot with fans, the ITV favourite tagged the man's body with the Hollywood A-lister’s official Instagram handle.
Beside the snap, he wrote: “Ruthiee was as usual so busy chatting she didn't even notice him…”(sic)
Some of the This Morning stalwart’s followers appeared very impressed by the photo, with one writing: “Wow, George!”
However, some Instagram users were less convinced by the likeness, and were quick to share their own reaction.
“That's not George,” declared one person.
Another Instagram user insisted: “No way is that George!”
Meanwhile, one very enamoured admirer gushed: “He looks gorgeous whoever he is.”
In an earlier upload, Eamonn shared another candid snap of his spouse, who was pictured waving her arm in the air as she look out onto the Italian lake.
Beside the capture, the journalist joked: “Can't get a head of steam on this filming due to Lady Ruth's adoring fans! Waving like Royalty she is…”
Eamonn Holmes remembers Ruth's wedding day 'wiggle wiggle'
It came shortly after it was revealed that Eamonn had recently said he “couldn’t believe” he hadn’t been offered the chance to appear on the BBC show Homes Under the Hammer.
The revelation came as the star’s friend, TV presenter Lucy Alexander, opened up about the speech he made to friends and family after receiving his OBE last month.
“He did some fabulous speeches,” the 47-year-old spilled to Express.co.uk, before explaining the radio host had taken the opportunity to include a pun about the weekday property programme she used to present.
“He said in his speech he can’t believe he didn’t get 'Holmes' Under the Hammer.
“I was like, ‘Thank you for that Eamonn,’” she laughed, before concluding: “But we did have a laugh.”
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
