Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, died at the age of 28, with his press contact confirming that he had been found dead in Muscat, Oman where he had even visiting.
TMZ report that last night the EDM star’s brother David checked in to a hotel just a few miles away from the Muscat Hills Resort where Avicii had been staying, hours after news broke of his tragic death.
According to the publication, David is likely to be looking in to where his brother had been in the days leading up to his untimely passing, after Swedish publications reported that he had checked out of the resort some time last week.
They claim that his family are “seeking answers” after his passing.

“He was in Muscat, Oman and was found dead during Friday afternoon local time.
“The family is crushed and we ask you to show consideration and leave them alone in this difficult time,” they said. “No more statements will be made.”
The cause of death has not yet been reported.
In 2016, Avicii retired from performing live, citing health reasons.
Variety state that he had struggled with health problems including pancreatitis for several years and that, in 2014, he had both his gallbladder and appendix removed.
Following the news that Avicii had died, his friend Nile Rodgers said he was “heartbroken” when the DJ “broke his promise to stop drinking”.

Recalling the last time they worked together for a gig three years ago, he told the Associated Press: “It was a little bit sad to me because he had promised me he would stop drinking and when I saw him, he was drunk that night.
“And I was like, ‘Whoa. Dude. C’mon. What are you doing? What’s going on? You said that that was done,’” the legendary Chic star said.
“We did a show and I was a little upset.
“I didn’t even stick around for his performance because it was breaking my heart,” he admitted.
“But we still had a great time. It was wonderful we were that close.”

The superstar musician beamed for snaps with eager members of the public, dressed casually in shorts and a T-shirt and sporting a suntan.
Tributes flooded in from music world greats following his death, with Madonna, with whom he collaborated on Girl Gone Wild, tweeting: “So sad…. So tragic. Goodbye dear sweet Tim. Gone too soon.”
Scottish musician Calvin Harris wrote: “Devastating news about Avicii, a beautiful soul, passionate and extremely talented with so much more to do.
“My heart goes out to his family. God bless you Tim.”
Among the other celebrities paying tribute were Liam Payne, deadmau5, Rita Ora and Eric Prydz.
