Ant McPartlin charged with drink-driving following arrest - TV star's court date confirmed
ANT MCPARTLIN has been charged with drink-driving after failing a breathalyser test following a three-car crash on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.

The news comes after the 42-year-old Saturday Night Takeaway star was seen attending Kingston police station earlier today, where he was interviewed under caution.
Ant is set to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on April 4.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged following a road traffic collision in Lower Richmond Road, SW14 that occurred on Sunday, 18 March.
“Anthony McPartlin, 42 (18.11.75) of Chiswick has been charged by postal requisition on Wednesday, 21 March with drink driving.

“He will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on 4 April.”
The ITV presenter was pictured arriving at the police station in south London with what appeared to be his legal team.
Before today, Ant had not been seen in public since he arrived home in the early hours on Monday morning after being questioned by police following the incident.
After Ant returned home, the star’s TV partner Declan Donnelly, 42, was pictured visiting his pal.

Geordie favourite Ant McPartlin previously confirmed that he will return to rehab following his arrest earlier this week.
A statement released by his publicist said: "Ant has decided to go back into treatment and step down from his current TV commitments.
“He has spoken with Dec [Donnelly] and ITV today and asked for time off for the foreseeable future. As such Saturday Night Takeaway will not be going ahead this Saturday.”
Ant spent two months in rehab for prescription drug addiction last summer.

Earlier this afternoon, Dec confirmed that he will present Saturday Night Takeaway without Ant when it returns on March 31.
Writing to the duo’s 6.81 million Twitter followers, he said: “Whilst I never thought I’d be in this position, after much discussion and careful consideration we’ve decided that the remaining two shows of this series of Saturday Night Takeaway will go ahead.
“We made a promise to taker hundreds of deserving winners to Florida to watch the series finale, and we will honour that.
