CORONATION STREET star Michael Le Vell has reportedly vowed to “move on” and get his life back on track after he was believed to have been declared bankrupt this year.

Yesterday, it was reported Michael, who plays Kevin Webster in Coronation Street, was bankrupt and owed Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) a “six-figure sum”.
The 53-year-old is said to earn £250,000 a year to portray the mechanic in the ITV soap.
But Michael failed to keep on top of his tax affairs and and was declared bankrupt, according to The Mirror.
HMRC were said to be named as the petitioner in the High Court.
Now friends of Michael have told the publication he is determined to get back on track and will “move on” from his money woes.
They said: “He sees this as another life lesson – he is not wallowing in self-pity.
"Things are on the up, he is loving work and he is not going to let this define him.”
Michael’s financial affairs first hit the headline last year when he was reported to be facing bankruptcy after being threatened with legal action.

However, the star is thought to have failed to settle his affairs, leading the High Court to declare him bust.
The original order was made under his real name, Michael Robert Turner, but it then changed to include his stage name and occupation.
Michael has appeared on Coronation Street as Kevin Webster since 1983 and the star has been involved in many dramatic and memorable storylines over the years.
His character is mostly associated with his on and off relationship with Sally Seddon (played by Sally Dynevor) and his affair with Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) which resulted in the birth of his son Jack (Kyran Bowes).

Away from the soap, the ITV favourite is currently living in Greater Manchester with fiancée Louise Gibbons, 42.
Michael has two children with his ex-wife of 25-years, Janette Beverly, who he split with in 2011.
A representative for Michael Le Vell told Express.co.uk that they would not be making a comment, due to it being a “private matter”.
