The actress, who has played EastEnders’ Linda since 2013, spoke out about her alter ego being branded an “old trout” on her arrival back in Albert Square last year.
Thankfully the 41-year-old said she took the troll’s remark in jest and that it made her “laugh so much”.
Kellie took time away from the BBC drama back in 2016 following the birth of her second son, however her on-screen spouse was up to no good in her absence.
When asked if she appreciated support from viewers, the soap star commented: “Oh yes, of course! I did see one funny thing on Twitter when I came back to the show, though.”
Why would Mick Carter be interested in that old trout when he could have Whitney?
Kellie continued: “There was this one comment from a young man who said: 'Why would Mick be interested in that old trout when he could have Whitney?'
“It made me laugh so much! He kept saying: 'Look at her wrinkles!’ That aside, it did feel like people wanted Mick and Linda to be together.”
During her interview with Inside Soap, Kellie also stated: “People always say to me, 'I wish Mick was my husband’.
“And that's really nice. Mick and Linda reflect those couples who you just know will be together forever."

Mick cheated on his spouse with daughter-in-law Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty), however things are now looking up for the married couple.
During her chat, Kellie added: “We've worked hard to create Mick and Linda – and that's something we've fought for in Soapland, to play a happy couple who are in love and weren't going to have affairs.
"Mick and Linda had a blip while Linda was away, but they've put all that behind them now."
Her comments come after it was reported that fans could be set to say goodbye to Mick and Linda, as their feud with Aidan Maguire intensifies following the botched New Year’s robbery.
Aidan (played by Patrick Bergin) is convinced that Mick has the missing money from the heist and has vowed to take revenge.

The pub landlord initially turns to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) for help but it’s Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) who is more than willing to assist him.
She insists that Aidan should be taken out by a hit man, however Mick is reluctant to have the gangster murdered.
But when Mick later find the Queen Vic doused in petrol along with a chilling warning from Aidan, he realises he has to take action and is forced to reconsider Mel’s idea.
As they begin to make plans to take down Aidan, Mick has a change of heart and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) suggests the family should leave the Square.
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One.
