INDIA WILLOUGHBY has repeatedly claimed she is “scared” of drag acts but unearthed photos show the Celebrity Big Brother contestant posing for selfies with a number of transvestites.

CBB: India Willoughby explains her dislike of drag
The recently emerged photos show the newsreader looking cosy with a number of drag queens, leaving fans baffled by the frequent references to her “phobia” of drag queens.
In a photo posted on her Twitter account, the TV presenter is pictured smiling beside a drag queen at Harrogate Pride.
Sharing the snap back in May, India wrote: “Conchita - what are you doing here? The fab ladies of @hausofdench @Pride_Diversity.”(sic)
Another upload shows the transgender star pouting alongside another drag act, with the caption: “Harrogate Pride - fabulous! Sunday @Pride_Diversity - great atmosphere!”

Viewers soon shared their outrage about the seemingly inconsistent phobia, with one person telling her: “You have proven yourself to be a liar and a fraud.”
While another wrote: “I literally cannot stand the hypocrisy and audacity of India Willoughby.”
The star first told housemates about her fear when drag performer Courtney Act entered the house, and fell silent when Andrew Brady emerged as Betty Swollocks after a makeover during last night’s episode.
The Celebrity Big Brother housemate has previously explained that she suffers with gender dysphoria
Later explaining that her reaction was due to her condition, the Loose Women guest panellist said: “It’s something called gender dysphoria which is an illness.
“It’s something you can only resolve with medical intervention - and that’s what I’ve had to do. So somebody coming in dressed that way [as a drag act] freaks me out.”
She continued: “Transsexual people with gender dysphoria have suffered over the years with a lot of laughter. I know it’s not meant that way, that people who perform drag don’t do it intentionally.”

India, who has previously said she doesn’t attend LGBTQ events, then likened the upset caused by her phobia to the racist Black and White Minstrel Show.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
