The X Factor winner thinks her Rumba might have been too “sexy” for the voting public, which is why she didn’t automatically make it through to the quarter finals.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 29-year-old spoke out about what she thought had gone wrong while throwing her support behind Cancer Research UK’s Christmas campaign.
When asked why she thought she was in the bottom two, Alexandra commented: “These are the things that people on Strictly tell me.
“They always say the Rumba is an awkward dance for the public to watch, because it is so sensual and sexy.”

Alexandra, who was saved over Susan Calman by the judges, admitted it is thought that fans “engage” more with the up-tempo numbers.
The singer continued: “Maybe they don’t engage with the slower ones and think, ‘Oh that’s quite lovely,’ and leave it there.
“I don’t really know… I’m not a pro, all I can do is give my all and hope we get the votes.”
Alexandra added: “Tess said to me, ‘Sometimes people just think you’re safe,’ but they don’t vote, but then you’re in the bottom two and they know you’re not safe. Who knows?"
Meanwhile, the reality star has partnered with TK Maxx, for Christmas Sock Day on December 6 to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.

Alexandra wants Brits to share a Christmas #socksie - a selfie of your socks - to raise awareness and funds. For each one complete with the official hashtag, TK Maxx will donate £1.
“It’s a wonderful campaign to be part of, so many people are so used to taking selfies nowadays, so why not do it for a good cause?” she said.
“Cancer Research is so close to my heart and it means a lot to me to support it.”
Shoppers can purchase an official pair of charity Christmas socks from TK Maxx stores and online now.
