The This Morning favourite shared a candid clip with her 374,000 Instagram followers as she rehearsed with her professional partner Anton du Beke yesterday.
The 57-year-old admitted she was both “sweaty” and “red-faced” before asking why her companion could still train in a shirt and tie.
Ruth certainly appeared to have been put through her paces by the 51-year-old as she sat on the floor with a towel around her neck.
“Oh my god, the Charleston… is fast,” the presenter commented. “Look at the state of me? How come this man is doing this in a shirt and tie and he hasn’t even broken into a glow. How do you do that?”

Anton replied, looking far from out of breath: “I know how you feel. I feel exactly the same way, I’ve had to undo my top button. Practically undressed… If you do a slow Charleston, it’s not worth watching.”
Ruth added: “Fast Charleston Saturday night. Be there or be square,” after failing to impress the judges with her debut dance last week.
She had echoed her thoughts in the accompanying caption: “Wow… the Charleston is fast man!!! @bbcstrictly @mrantondubeke #strictlycomedancing #training #dancing #charleston #sweating #redfaced.”

“What does he mean he wants to see flames?!!! @mrantondubeke @bbcstrictly #strictlycomedancing #training #charleston,” she said to her fans.
Ruth then added: “STILL in his shirt & tie! The man has standards! @mrantondubeke @bbcstrictly #strictlycomedancing #training #charleston #practise #dancing.”
