The This Morning presenter said that he was “so proud” of the 57-year-old’s decision to take part on the BBC series but warned viewers not to bet on them as the winning couple.
“She’s not going to win it, absolutely not, so save your money folks,” he told BBC Radio Ulster yesterday.
“But you know what, it’s a great thing that programme means so much to people.”
Last week, the blonde beauty joked that she would make her husband “green with envy” as she got up close and personal with one of the professional dancers.

But, following Saturday’s announcement that she would be dancing with Anton, Eamonn has brushed off any concerns that he’ll be jealous.
“She was absolutely delighted, you saw it one her face last night,” the 57-year-old said of Ruth’s reaction when her partner was revealed.
“She thinks Anton is a really nice guy, very experienced and he’s never won before and he’s not going to win this year.”
It comes after Ruth revealed that the BBC were misinformed about her part in the dancing competition after she signed up this year.

Ruth revealed she has been wanting to take part on Strictly for years
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she explained: “I quite enjoyed the whole rumour mill and contrary to popular belief, I’ve not been asked to do Strictly before because never in a million years would I have turned it down.
“When it leaked, the BBC said, ‘At last she said yes to Strictly,’ but they never asked!
“I was gutted that I’d never been asked for Strictly so there was no way I was going to pass it by.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One on Saturday September 23.
