John Hardman, who was cut off by the singer 17 years ago, claims she is being "exploited" by the Channel 5 series and her health is in jeopardy.
The pair have not spoken since John split from Sarah's mother Marie and chose not to tell her that her grandfather Patrick had passed away.
Now, following an explosive week in the Borehamwood bungalow, which has seen the Girls Aloud star break down several times, John has spoken out.
"Sarah's being cruelly exploited for ratings purposes," he commented.

"It would be in her best interests if Celebrity Big Brother arranged for her to leave the house - her health is in jeopardy.
"I can't bear to see my daughter break down and be forced to open her heart once more about her insecurities and vulnerabilities in front of cameras. It's cruel TV."
Sarah became embroiled in a heated argument with Ex on the Beach star Jemma Lucy earlier this week as well as former Hollyoaks actor Paul Danan.
The 35-year-old has also opened up about her time with Girls Aloud and her relationship with her former bandmates.

But John believes Celebrity Big Brother are exploiting the star and she does not need to be in the house.
"With the amazing career that she's already enjoyed, she doesn't actually need to be in the house at all," he told Mirror Online.
"She's enjoyed huge success with Girls Aloud. It's so demeaning for her."
A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother told Express.co.uk: "Big Brother constantly monitor housemates and their behaviour."
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 8.30pm.
