FRENCH singer Barbara Weldens has passed away at the age of 35, it has been reported.

The up and coming musician is said to have been singing in a church in the village of Gourdon, which is in the Lot region of south-western France, at the time of her death.
Reports have suggested she collapsed on stage, with local media adding that she may have been electrocuted at the Leo Ferre festival before suffering an apparent cardiac arrest, Sky News claimed.
They added that firemen who attended the scene were unable to resuscitate Weldens and a formal investigation has now been launched into the cause of her death.

According to the BBC, police have refused to speculate on the circumstances.
A spokesperson is said to have told L'Europe1 that they "will see in the next weeks if a re-evaluation" is necessary.
They added that they would assess the possible cause behind an electrical malfunction.
