BBC pay: EastEnders fans OUTRAGED as June Brown and Steve McFadden fail to make list
EASTENDERS viewers are not happy with the BBC, judging by the comments surrounding the salary report released today.
BBC pay: EastEnders' June Brown and Steve McFadden did not make the list
Fans took to Twitter in shock as news emerged about the highest earners from the long-running BBC soap.
While the likes of Danny Dyer and Adam Woodyatt were mentioned, two of the programme’s biggest stars were not: June Brown and Steve McFadden.
The former, 90, has played Dot Cotton in EastEnders since 1985, while the latter, 58, is otherwise known as Phil Mitchell, after first signing up nearly three decades ago.
“Must be a mistake, how can Steve McFadden and June Brown not be in this bracket? They don't even make the 150k+ list,” one user tweeted.
