RYAN REYNOLDS has granted a poorly young fan his greatest wish by video calling him from the set of Deadpool 2.

The Hollywood A-lister arranged to call five-year-old Daniel Downing after hearing about his terminal illness and now a clip of the heart-warming moment has been released.
The youngster from Plymouth, who has an inoperable brain tumour, wasted no time in asking the 40-year-old to FaceTime after he received a surprise phone call from him.
Daniel explained that has had been unwell recently while wearing a top emblazoned with Ryan’s superhero character.
“Daniel picked up the phone and Ryan asked if he knew who he was,” his mother Stephanie revealed.

Daniel was telling Ryan how poorly he'd been and how his friends had helped him feel better
“As soon as Daniel realised, he asked if he could FaceTime him and then he was very, very hyper."
She continued: ”Daniel was telling Ryan how poorly he'd been and how his friends had helped him feel better. He had to dash off to film, but that was good really - Daniel gets tired very quickly,” during an interview with the Plymouth Herald.
The pair spoke for around 15 minutes and he introduced him to the movie’s crew, who all joined in.

Stephanie added: ”I messaged his assistant to say how eternally grateful we all are for him taking the time out to talk to Daniel.
“It was absolutely fantastic… He told all his friends and his teachers. It's nice to see him so excited because he has been a bit down lately."
Ryan, who is married to Blake Lively, is father to two daughters: two-year-old James and baby Ines, who was born in September.
