PIERS MORGAN has lead the tributes for Sir Roger Moore who has died aged 89 after a "brave battle with cancer".

The tragic news was announced via the actor's Twitter account earlier today.
Moments later, the Good Morning Britain presenter posted on his own account: "Oh no. As if today wasn't already sad enough. RIP Sir Roger Moore, 89. A wonderful actor & lovely man."
Dragons Den star, Duncan Bannatyne has also shared his condolences, adding: "So sad to hear the death of Sir Roger Moore, a great ambassador for UNICEF & all round great guy RIP."

Kirstie Allsopp wrote of the Saint actor: "Roger Moore was a good man and his sad death today should be front page news tomorrow, sadly it won't be. #Terribleday #Manchester."
Former James Bond girl Robbin Young paid tribute to her co-star, posting: "I'm devastated to learn of Roger's death. R.I.P. my '007'."
Russell Crowe simply stated, "Roger Moore, loved him," whilst Kris Jenner posted a dapper photo of the former 007 along with: "The ultimate James Bond… So sad to hear that Roger Moore has passed away. Thoughts and prayers are with his family…"
Gary Linekar posted the emotional tribute: "Saddened to hear Sir Roger Moore has passed away. James Bond should never die."

Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams posted a classically cool picture of Moore with his famous bond enemy, Jaws, commenting: "Thank you @sirrogermoore Every time you appeared on screen from childhood to adulthood you never failed to bring a smile to my face."
Singer Michael Ball added an extremely heartfelt tribute, saying: "My dearest uncle Roger has passed on. What a sad, sad day this is.
"Loved the bones of him. Generous, funny, beautiful and kind. #ROGERMOORE," the 54-year-old continued.
Lord Alan Sugar further the tributes, posting to his 5.37million followers: "R.I.P. The Saint and 007."
