You'll NEVER guess which Hollywood actor transformed in KFC's Colonel…
KFC’s new Zinger chicken sandwich is going to SPACE
Rob Lowe took on the role of the Colonel for the fast food chain's announcement that it is launching a new chicken sandwich into space in June.
He traded in his dark locks for combed back white waves as well as adopting a short beard and moustache.
To complete his transformation he sported a pair of wire glasses and wore a specially-made astronaut suit.
In promotional images, the 53-year-old can be seen proudly holding onto a box filled with the KFC chicken zinger and gazing adoringly at the new sandwich.

Rob joked about his new role as the Colonel on Twitter, explaining: "There is work to be done. And @KFC has called upon me to be the next Colonel Sanders and literally launch a chicken sandwich into space."
The star also took part in an advert for the company in which he revealed their ambitious plans to the public during a broadcast.
He announced: "The time has come to explore beyond our known horizons, to push KFC's spicy chicken to new heights."
The Colonel explained that the challenge would be hard but they will not be stopped in their pursuit to see if the chicken sandwich can be sent into space.

Rob appeared very enthusiastic about taking on the iconic role
"When we succeed, we will lick our fingers, we will lick our fingers good," he cried out enthusiastically.
The role is a far cry from others that Rob has previously taken on in The Invention of Lying, Sex Tape and Parks and Recreation but he does not seem any less excited.
He's also not the first to portray the Colonel and follows in the footsteps of Norm MacDonald, Darrell Hammond and Jim Gaffigan.
