The hitmaker looked downcast as he emerged at Buenos Aires airport alongside his wife Luisana Lopilato and their youngest son Elias.
Keeping his dark sunglasses firmly on, the 41-year-old looked serious as he got into an awaiting car as they took a break away.
Sporting a back-to-front baseball cap, Michael looked casual in ripped jeans, a zip-up hooded top and black trainers.
It was unclear if their eldest son, three, who was diagnosed with liver cancer late last year, was with them but he was not present in the photographs.

Meanwhile, mother-of-two Luisana took charge of looking after Elias, who appeared to be wriggling about in his pram.
Despite being met by reporters, the beauty looked relaxed after teaming skinny trousers with a khaki jacket.
Their little, curly-haired companion, one, looked adorable as he was wheeled to his car in a striped onesie.

The couple, who wed back in 2011, previously announced they would be taking a break from the limelight and their work commitments to care for Noah.
Michael's brother-in-law previously told La Nacion earlier this month: "After these very long months Noah is doing well, very well. For me, it's very difficult to talk about it.
"But I believe in God and sought comfort in Jesus Christ and a miracle from God came, from the way it was discovered, after the operation, everything."
