Keira Knightley’s stalker McCattipus meowed through her letterbox
KEIRA Knightley has been terrorised by an “infatuated” stalker who sent her pictures of cats and made meowing noises through her letter box, a court heard.
Mark Revill showed up in court over stalking the Hollywood actress Keira Knightley
The Hollywood actress, 31, was the target of a bizarre campaign by fan Mark Revill, 49, who repeatedly turned up outside her £4million London home.
Revill, who claims to be “in love” with the star, has made a series of references to cats on Facebook and recently changed his name to “Mark McCattipuss”.
Revill admitted stalking Ms Knightley over two months.
The hearing, at Highbury Corner magistrates court, was adjourned until December 1 for pre-sentence reports.

The court heard that Revill, of Hackney, east London, began sending Ms Knightley hand-written letters and postcards with photographs of cats in August.
The would-be musician also posted a USB stick containing songs about cats.

The court heard Ms Knightley was left feeling “uncomfortable” and “unsafe” when Revill appeared and loitered in the street for up to an hour.
Revill, who has a previous conviction for exposing himself to a nurse he had also been stalking, followed up his messages with a further note asking Ms Knightley if she had listened to the music, and allegedly sent two letters to her mother.
Prosecutor Simma Khan said: “It is a celebrity stalking case. This defendant developed an infatuation with her. This was unwanted by the victim and she felt unsafe.”
The prosecution said civil lawyers for Ms Knightley had approached Revill about his behaviour and asked him to stop but his visits continued.

At a previous hearing Ms Khan told the court the defendant said he “was in love with the victim”.
The court heard Revill, who has previously received mental health treatment, has been in custody since he was arrested.
Defending, Bharat Gupta told the court his client did not receive a warning from Ms Knightley’s lawyers.
The case has been adjourned for now
He said Revill’s main reason for approaching Ms Knightley’s home was to promote his music.
Adjourning the case, magistrate David Flinter told Revill: “We are looking at a range of options from community service up to custody. The pre-sentence report should include an assessment of your mental health.”
Revill was remanded into custody.
