ACID attack victim Katie Piper has taken to Instagram to slam Halloween outfits, with her begging people to "think of those who have visible differences all year round" when they choose which costume to wear.

The 33-year-old - who was left scarred for life after her ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch ordered Stefan Sylvestre to throw acid in her face in 2008 - posted a photograph of a lengthy quote on social media.
The post read: "It's not even Halloween and I've had over 20 photos on my feed of make-up artists posting Halloween gore-overs.
"It's distasteful and offensive to make temporary burns, scars and disfigurements on someone's face for Halloween. Some of us have these differences all year round. When did Halloween turn into people imitating accident victims?"
Katie then captioned the picture: "I enjoy Halloween just as much as the next person but please don't dress up as someone that has had trauma happen to them."

Please don't dress up as someone that has had trauma happen to them.
"Even if you don't care about other people's feelings how about remembering non of us are immune and it could be you one day with those injuries no Halloween make up needed. Pumpkins, witches, cats, bats whatever but not someone who has been seriously injured please," she went on.
Katie's post comes after she previously spoke to Express.co.uk about "finding her inner strength" after the attack.
She explained that she "gets asked how she became such a confident person" a lot, but insisted that there isn't just one answer.
Katie urged people to think carefully about their Halloween costumes
Katie revealed: "I think it’s really hard, you can have inner strength at different points but to have it consistently that’s a battle for everybody.
"So, yeah I’d say like everybody there’s good times and bad times and you’re always fighting for that consistency.
"It’s been years and years of falling down and getting back up and concentrating on the getting back up part when you’re down."
