Chefs from LA’s Universal Studios flew more than 5,000 miles to her native Scotland to get her seal of approval.
Alan Gilmore, supervising art director at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, said in a magazine interview: “She got to see everything. And it was a huge effort to get everything right.”
The chefs run the park’s Three Broomsticks Restaurant, Hog’s Head Pub and several snack bars, including Honeydukes which is named after the sweet shop in Ms Rowling’s books.
They serve up a variety of dishes, from fish and chips and shepherd’s pie to pretend chocolate frogs.

The author is known for paying attention to detail when it comes to Harry Potter
“She pays as much attention to detail in the Harry Potter parks as she did in the films. And she’s right to be scrupulous because fans expect everything to be just as it is in her books.
“I think she was very pleased with what our cooks created and the changes she asked for have been made. She is aware that although the dishes are British-themed, they have to appeal to millions of visitors every year from all over the world.”
