'I'm not finished yet!' Elton John insists he isn't giving up on music right now
ELTON JOHN has insisted that he is not going to stop and think about his legacy yet as he has "so much more to do".
Elton has insisted that he isn't ready to step away from music yet
The music legend has revealed that he isn't prepared to give up his career just yet. He said: "I'm not finished yet! I'm more interested in keeping going. I have so much more to do.
"I'm nostalgic. I don't think about my place in music history at all."
He continued: "I know my own worth as a musician. And if I know that I'm a good musician and a good writer and a good artist, that's all that matters to me.
"It's up to others to judge me but I know the piano playing on my new record is pretty f******* special!"

Elton has revealed he feels confident he would continue to be successful
Elton told The Sun that he was confident that he would continue to be successful: "You have to keep trying to improve as you get older. Look at Leonard Cohen. That comeback at 75 was astonishing."
He added: "I've been so lucky to be involved in music. It's been my lovely companion."
The 68-year-old recently revealed that he "drifted apart" from David Bowie before his death despite previously being very close to the musician.

Elton previously revealed that he wasn't David Bowie's 'cup of tea'
He told ES magazine: "David [Bowie] and I were not the best of friends towards the end. We started out being really good friends.
"We used to hang out together with Marc Bolan, going to gay clubs, but I think we just drifted apart. He once called me ‘rock ‘n’ roll’s token queen’ in an interview with Rolling Stone, which I thought was a bit snooty.
“I wasn’t his cup of tea. But the dignified way he handled his death, I mean, thank God."
Elton found out David has passed away via a 3am phone call and insisted, like the rest of the world, he had no idea about his secret battle with cancer.
