Wayne Rogers dead: M*A*S*H actor passes away aged 82
ACTOR Wayne Rogers - best known for starring in M*A*S*H as Trapper John McIntyre - has died aged 82, it has been reported.

Wayne is said to have passed away on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles surrounded by his family, after suffering complications from pneumonia.
As well as starring in the legendary TV series M*A*S*H from 1972 to 1975, the star also had roles in City of Angels and Murder, She Wrote.
He left M*A*S*H after the third season, at the same time as original cast member McLean Stevenson.
The season three finale left fans in shock, after Stevenson's character Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake was killed when his plane was shot down over the Sea Of Japan.

Trapper John's departure was then referenced in the season four premiere.
More recently, Wayne - who received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2005 - starred as a regular panelist on Fox News stock investment show Cashin' In, after a successful career as a money manager and investor.
He was survived by his second wife Amy Hirsh, children Bill and Laura from his first marriage to actress Mitzi McWhorter and four grandchildren.

Tributes have been pouring in for the star since news of his death emerged online, with one person taking to Twitter to post: "Sad to hear the news that Wayne Rogers from MASH has died, aged 82. Great actor and great TV series."
Another added: "God rest the soul of Wayne Rogers (MASH) who died recently of Pneumonia."
"R.I.P Wayne Rogers. Trapper and Hawkeye will always be immortal," a different person wrote.
