ROCK divorcees Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton ran up legal bills to the tune of £800,000 during their split, it emerged yesterday.
The split between Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton cost a whopping £800,000
The former Oasis and All Saints singers spent nearly 10 per cent of their £11million assets on the “manifestly excessive” fees.
Judge Martin O’Dwyer revealed the costs while ruling that the two celebrities should each get exactly half of their combined wealth.
Gallagher, 43, dashed the hopes of his millions of fans by telling London’s Central Family Court that he had no plans to get back into the music business.

Miss Appleton, 41, meanwhile, said she has tried to revive her singing career but admitted she “does not know what the future holds”.
Neither Gallagher or Miss Appleton, who have a son Gene, 15, from their 15-year relationship, attended court for yesterday’s ruling.
Judge O’Dwyer said the pair – who split in a “quickie” divorce hearing last year – should get £5.4 million each of their combined £10.8 million.

But he added: “The level of costs in this case, totalling over £800,000, are manifestly excessive for the determination of the dispute.”
Gallagher hired top barrister Fiona Shackleton, who represented Prince Charles and Sir Paul McCartney in their divorce hearings.
He told the judge he would like to reform Oasis, which he launched with brother Noel nearly 25 years ago, but there was “no prospect” of that happening.
