I'm an introvert when it comes to my personal life, admits Phillip Schofield
WATCHING him on This Morning you’d be forgiven for thinking Phillip Schofield’s a chatterbox in real life too.
Schofield says he's actually shy
However, the man who earns his living speaking to guests on a daily basis insists he’s actually far more introverted in his personal life.
“If I walk into a room and don’t know anybody, it’s my worst nightmare”, says the 53-year-old, who missed hosting the show on Monday, to be with his ill brother Tim, who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes, with regular Friday host Eamon Holmes stepping in to cover.

“I can be confident and comfortable in front of a camera talking to millions of people. But if I go to a party and get there before my wife or my mates and I don’t know anyone, that’s about my worst situation to be in. I hate it. I desperately look for someone I might even vaguely know.”
