SINGER Kimberley Walsh says she does not envy the fame of former Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Fernandez- Versini.

Whereas Cheryl remains in the limelight and was judging last night’s X Factor, Kimberley has kept a lower profile, albeit one which has seen her appear on stage in the West End and write an autobiography.
As a band, Girls Aloud scored four number one hits and sold four million albums.
They split in 2009, reformed in 2012 and called it a day in 2013.

Kimberly, 33, remains close friends with Cheryl but admitted she would not want to be under the same intense spotlight.
She told S Magazine: “She handles it so well, but it’s definitely challenging.
“She sees all the things I can do and she’s like, ‘How do you manage it?’

“I get the best of both worlds because I’m still doing what I love without the pressure that she has.
"I can still go to the shops and all those normal things. I’m toeing a good line.”

She said there are no plans for the band to get back together, adding: “There are definitely no plans to reunite. Everyone’s doing their own thing now.
“We had more than a decade together and we’ve probably outstayed our welcome.”

Kimberley, who made her West End debut in Shrek The Musical in 2011, became a mother last year to 13-month-old Bobby.

She is due to marry her partner Justin Scott next year.
She said: “We’ve started planning. “I’m so looking forward to it.”
