The 17-year-old Australian animal lover took to Instagram to remember her famous father, dubbed the "Crocodile Hunter", just days after the anniversary of his death.
It was clear that it was an emotional time for Bindi as the anniversary also fell on the same weekend as Father's Day in Australia.
In an heartfelt tribute, Bindi penned an emotional post and shared a throwback iconic photo of him with one of his beloved crocodiles.
"Thinking about home today," she said. "Father's Day is today in Australia and everyone is celebrating at Australia Zoo.
"It's such a special time of year, I hope everyone who comes to the zoo today is able to enjoy it with our gorgeous animals.
"No matter where I am in the world, this day means such a lot to me. My heart forever lives @AustraliaZoo - just like Dad's always did."
Steve died at the age of 44 after he was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while he was filming a documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.
The teenager, who was just eight when Steve was killed by a stingray in 2006, has lived out his legacy by continuing his wildlife conservation and television work.
Bindi has joined forces with her mother Terri, 51, and 11-year-old brother Robert to run Queensland's Australia Zoo, which had been managed by Steve since 1991.
In a recent interview, the young TV personality opened up about doting father.
"I'll always feel most comfortable in khaki surrounded by animals," she told Us Weekly. "I hope [my dad would] be proud. That's my end goal. He was like our living, breathing superhero. He was so passionate and clever."
Bindi, who stars in her own Netflix series called Bindi's Bootcamp, is also taking part in the new series of Dancing With The Stars in Australia.
