Eddie Redmayne looks ultra feminine as transgender artist on set for The Danish Girl
FOR his last role Eddie Redmayne transformed himself into Stephen Hawking, but his latest film sees the star metamorphosise in an altogether different way.
Eddie looked unrecognisable as Einar Wegener in The Danish Girl
The 33-year-old looked unrecognisable as he filmed scenes for The Danish Girl in Copenhagen.
Dressed in a smart navy overcoat with a fur trim, Eddie looked ultra feminine in his new role playing transgender artist Einar Wegener.
The Oscar-winning actor was wrapped up from the Danish cold in a stylish fur stole and a pair of brown gloves.
Completing his character's look, Eddie pulled on a pair of grey tights and added smart leather flat shoes.

The star's hair and make-up all added to his transformation, with his red-brown tresses styled into chic marcel waves and his make-up emphasising his pretty features.
Later, Eddie wrapped up between scenes in a large parka coat and furlined boots as he held a hot water bottle close to his body.
Crew were filming on a cobbled street in the Danish capital, which had been made to look like a 1920s fish market on the edge of a dock.
Eddie was joined by a number of extras who were all dressed in similar period clothing.

Einar Wegener was an early transgender pioneer
The movie, set in the 1920s, is a love story about how Einar was persuaded by his wife Gerda Waud – who was also an artist – to pose for her in women’s clothes after one of her models failed to show.
In time, he became Lili and started on the transformation into a woman.
Eddie previously told the MailOnline that he had been "serving the minutiae of feminine physicality," and to help him with the role the star had been working with movement director Alexandra Reynolds.

"We’re looking at everything from a feminine perspective," he explained. "How to sit, to walk, to pose, roll on a pair of stockings. How to put on a pair of heels - and how to walk in them. Everything."
He added: "I think it’s the most sensitive role I have played."
The Danish Girl will also star Amber Heard, Matthias Schoenaerts and Ben Whishaw and is thought to be due for release at the end of the year.
