SHE'S planning on trying out for the 2018 Winter Olympics but Heather Mills has spoken of her horror as her prosthetic leg shattered on The Jump ski slope.
Heather Mills has revealed her horror after prosthetic leg shattered on The Jump
The 47-year-old model was booted off The Jump on Monday evening, and has since revealed her prosthetic leg broke at the top of a jump - nearly leading to skiing peril
Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, Heather said: "Jodie was holding me while I was trying to get my leg into the ski and onto the tracks of the jump and the whole leg collapsed.
"If she hadn’t had a hold of me, I would have just face-planted straight down. It’s one thing to fall on the snow, but people don’t fall on the tracks."
The star has told of how Jodie Kidd saved her from 'faceplanting' the ground
Heather explained the weight of her second leg slowed her down
The star was involved in a collision with a police motorbike back in 1993 and lost her leg below the knee due to her injuries.
She's worn a prosthetic leg ever since and has ambitions to secure a place in the 2018 Winter Paralympics in South Korea.
The model, who was married to Sir Paul McCartney lost her jump off on Monday evening to 38-year-old model and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey by just half a metre.
Heather blames swapping her broken leg for a much heavier version, after her accident, for her tumbling out of the competition.

The star was kicked off the show on Monday after losing out to Lady Victoria Hervey
She said: "I was jumping 14 or 15 meters consistently on the other leg.
"It felt very heavy. If you imagine I strapped eight kilos to your leg and then threw you off the jump, you would actually be unbalanced and tip over."
Heather added: "I would have definitely been in if I had the other leg, but that’s life."
