Marlon Wayans responds to bizarre Twitter lawsuit
Comedian MARLON WAYANS has filed legal papers to defend himself against an actor who sued him for a "racially motivated" Instagram.com post.
In August (14), Pierre Daniel, who had a role in Wayans' horror spoof Haunted House 2, filed a lawsuit against the funnyman, who allegedly called him a 'n**ga' and compared his photograph to the titular character in animated series The Cleveland Show.
Daniel sued for damages, saying the Twitter.com image was "racially motivated" and subsequently left him out of acting work.
In legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, Wayans claims he sees 'n**ga' as a friendly term, not a negative one.
His Haunted House co-star Jaime Pressly also filed her own declaration in support of Wayans, writing, "Mr. Wayans has addressed me as n**ga in the past, and frequently uses it as a term of endearment with his friends and family."
The comedian also laughed off the photograph comparison, adding that Daniel was referred to as Cleveland during one scene of the film.
