WATCH: Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd take part in Ice Bucket Challenge on GMB
SUSANNA Reid and Ben Shepherd have become the latest celebrities to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The pair got drenched on live TV as they joined in on the craze that is sweeping the globe after being nominated by weather presenter Laura Tobin.
The challenge started in America with the aim of raising money for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association, and involves said person having a bucket of ice cold water thrown over them in a public place.
And it seems as though the presenters of Good Morning Britain couldn't wait to join in on the charitable craze that has seen a number of Hollywood stars join in, including Justin Bieber, J-Lo, Bill Gates and Ricky Gervais.
Weather girl Laura Tobin - who took a charitable drenching over the weekend -spoke to presenters Ben, Susanna and Sean Fletcher joking: “I had an umbrella first of all… it was such a good charity to do it for, it’s such a good idea," before nominating the pair at the end of the show.
Standing nervously on the south bank, the GMB hosts seemed as though they were having second thoughts about the task, with Susanna exclaiming: "Oh my goodness, is this actually going to happen?"
Dressed in a form-fitting printed frock, the pretty brunette looked over at Ben, who shouted: "Can we just get it over and one with please?"
After the icy water was poured by Sean and Laura, Susanna shouted: “I nominate Sean Fletcher and Ruth Langsford!” Ben added, “We would love to see Ruth and Eamonn do it on This Morning”.
Although she couldn’t promise they would take part in the challenge today, Ruth said proudly: "We accept that challenge!" before apologising to her husband for accepting the dare on his behalf.
