Kai Rooney puts England World Cup defeat behind him as he enjoys kickabout on the beach
HE was pictured looking rather upset when England were beaten by Uruguay on Thursday evening, but yesterday Kai Rooney appeared to have forgotten all about the team's defeat.
The four-year-old was pictured having a whale of a time as he played on Ipenema beach in Rio de Janeiro and even enjoyed his own kickabout on the sand.
Clearly following in his father's footsteps, the youngster showed off his football skills as he ran amongst the other children wearing a cute mint green outfit.
His mother Coleen was nearby and watched her eldest boy with a huge smile on her face as her own mother, Colette, sat nearby.
Coleen, 28, kept her bikini body covered up for their day at the beach and instead wore a pair of black leggings, Nike trainers and a bright green T-shirt which matched Kai's.
She later treated her boy to an ice lolly and took a stroll along the sand with him as her family looked after baby Klay.
Coleen and her boys were present at England's second match, and were lucky enough to see Wayne score.
Following the game, the mother-of-two tweeted: "Gutted with the score, but so pleased @WayneRooney scored and his boys were here to see it!!"
And although Wayne will be feeling rather deflated today after Italy lost to Costa Rica last night, he will be pleased to know that his youngest son is almost walking.
Yesterday Coleen revealed the news to her 1.17m followers by posting: "Yay think klays got the hanging of walking!! With a few bruises along the way!! #stepbystep"
The WAG is no doubt looking forward to spending some quality time with Wayne now that England are officially out of the competition.
