Heard but not seen! Benedict Cumberbatch to voice wolf in new Madagascar movie
HE MIGHT have been voted one of the sexiest men in the industry, but Benedict Cumberbatch will be heard and not seen in his next venture.
The Sherlock star - who nabbed the top spot in The Sun's Sexiest Man poll - is set to voice a character in the highly-anticipated new Madagascar film, which will mark his first move into animation.
The 37-year-old will voice a wolf named Classified for the latest in the children's franchise, The Penguins of Madagascar.
Classified is a secret agent who heads up a covert animal-protection organisation called North Wind.
The movie is a spin-off of the highly popular Madagascar movie franchise following penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private.
Other Hollywood stars in the film include John Malkovich, who takes on the role of evil octopus Octavius Brine and The Hangover star Ken Jeong, who voices a seal.
Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, John DiMaggio, and Christopher Knights voice the four main birds in the children's movie.
Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell, both known for their work on several animated films, are both at the helm of the 20th Century Fox distributed film.
The Penguins of Madagascar will hit theatres in 3D on November 26.
