'A bun in the oven! Corrie's Paula Lane announces first pregnancy via Twitter
Coronation Street star Paula Lane has revealed that she is expecting her first child with husband Tom Shaw.
The 28-year-old actress, who plays Kylie Platt in the long-running soap, announced the news via her Twitter account, admitting that she was "thrilled."
She wrote: "@SirTomShaw and I are thrilled to announce we have a Christmas pud in the oven! SURPRISE!"
And after being bombarded with congratulatory messages form friends and fans, she later added: "Thank you for all your lovely messages."

This will be the first child for both Paul and her childhood sweetheart, who she wed lddd than two weeks ago.
The pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, whose guests included several Corrie cast mates including her on-screen husband Jack P Shepherd.
The actress, from Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, started dating Tom when they were both teenage students at Huddersfield Technical College.
She also announced his marriage proposal via the Twitter in 2011, where she wrote: "Yesterday was the most amazing day! I went to York a girlfriend and came back a fiancée! Tom Shaw - engaged r us!"
Paula has never been shy abut expressing her feelings toward her beau, and has always referred to his at The One.
Speaking to the Daily Star on Sunday last year, she said: "We're feeling very lucky at the moment as we're both in a position where we're working. I think we're just enjoying being young, having holidays and loving life as a couple.
"But saying that, I'd definitely say yes to getting married if he asked me. I think he's waiting to make sure it feels right - but he's had long enough.
"We've been together for years. He's definitely the one, there's no doubt in my mind. It's taking him a little longer to figure it all out. But we're very happy."
