'It's not true' Alfie Allen denies that sister Lily was offered Game of Thrones role
THEY may be brother and sister, but it seems that Alfie Allen has no problem with calling Lily a liar.
The 27-year-old actor has rubbished his sister's claims that she was offered a part in HBO's hit television series 'Game of Thrones'.
During an interview with Vulture magazine, Alfie - who plays Theon Greyjoy - addressed Lily's comments, saying: "The only thing I'm going to say on that is that it's not true."
Last month, Lily, 29, claimed that producers offered her the role of ALfie's onscreen sister, Yara, but she refused, saying: "I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up."
The only thing I'm going to say on that is that it's not true
Lily was, of course, referring to the scene in which Theon doesn't realise that he and Yara are related and he caresses her whilst they are riding a horse.
The role of Yara is actually played by actress Gemma Whelan - which Alfie says was always the plan.
"Gemma Whelan was always their first choice for the part," he explained. "And she's fantastic. And that's the only thing I'm going to say about that."
During the interview, Alfie also described how the show's producers, David Benioff and DB Weiss, tricked him into thinking his character was killed off at the end of series two.
"They sent me a fake season finale script where Bran killed me at Winterfell, stabbing me in the heart, and it was hilarious," he said.
"I didn't even know, because I hadn't read that far ahead in the books. I actually loved that ending. I thought it was a good death."
Game of Thrones is currently being shown on SKY Atlantic on Mondays at 9pm.
