Tom Cruise fans rejoice - Top Gun sequel in sights
IT LOOKS as if Tom Cruise fans can expect to see themselves once again going back into the “danger zone” as Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer insists a Top Gun 2 is on the cards.
Bruckheimer, 70, who also produced the enormously successful Pirates Of The Caribbean films, says that he and Cruise are eager to fi lm a sequel to the 1986 hit which launched the latter into international fame.
“It catapulted Tom Cruise’s career.
"He’s a pilot and he wants to make a sequel,” he says.
“We’re all working very hard to get it done.”
Earlier this year, we reported that Kelly McGillis, who played Cruise’s love interest in the original, would consider making a cameo should a sequel come to pass.
Despite it being 28 years since their last venture it seems that the actors are still feeling the need – the need for speed.
