Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey lead the way in black gowns at Game of Thrones premiere
THEY'RE two of the biggest stars of the show, and last night Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey proved exactly why.
The British actresses looked stunning as they arrived at the Game of Thrones season four premiere in New York City both wearing sexy black gowns.
Emilia, 26, who plays the mother of dragons Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO show, chose to wear a Donna Karan Fall 2014 black belted halter handkerchief dress which featured an asymmetrical silhouette and showed off plenty of flesh up top too.
She teamed the midi-length garment with a retro hairdo and Fred Leighton jewels as she smiled for the cameras.
Emila was closely followed by Lena, 40, who also wore black in the form of a full-length black V-neck silk-organza gown with a full skirt and a velvet-ribbon belt from Jenny Packham’s Fall 2013 collection.
The sleeveless design showed off Lena's multiple tattoos as well as her enviable frame and tiny waist.
The mother-of-one opted for an edgy choppy hairdo and accessorised her look with an EF Collection diamond X rose-gold ring to round off her look.
Emilia and Lena were joined by their co-stars at Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center, including Alfie Allen, Peter Dinklage and Sophie Turner.
Sophie, who plays Sansa Stark in the show, flaunted her legs in a short patterned halterneck dress as she posed up alongside her onscreen sister Maisie Williams.
Meanwhile, Rose Leslie - who plays Ygritte - and Sibel Kekilli who portrays Shae, both chose to keep their legs hidden in light-coloured gowns.
The fourth season of Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 6 and is sure to impress fans - who were given a sneak peek with a new trailer that was released last week.
Speaking of the dramas that await for everyone's favourite character Tyrion - who is played by Peter Dinklage - show creator David Benioff said: "This is definitely the most dangerous season for Tyrion. It seems like in almost every episode he is in jeopardy of getting his head removed from his shoulders."
