'I'm so blessed!' Simon Cowell signs X Factor star Tamera Foster to his record label Syco
FORMER X Factor star Tamera Foster is the latest star to be snapped up by Simon Cowell's record label, Syco.
The 17-year-old, who was famous for forgetting her words during last year's live shows, is said to have been given a record deal after impressing executives during the X Factor Live Tour.
And confirming the news to her fans via her Twitter page, she wrote: "SO GUYS I HAVE NEWSSS…
"I'm The Newest member of syco music!! GET THAT WORKK! IM SO BLESSED TO HAVE MY DREAM JOB AT THE AGE OF 17, Thank God Always."
The star, who becomes the youngest artist on the Syco Music roster, added in her official statement that she couldn't wait to get started on some new music.
Speaking about her future with the label, she said: "I am so excited about being given this opportunity.
"I'm having an amazing time on tour but even more now, because I know straight after I can get into the studio and start to work on some new music for everyone who supports me!
She added: "I'm very very lucky to have this chance as my first ever job and I've got so much to look forward to this year, exciting times ahead!"
Sonny Takhar, Syco Music Managing Director, added : “We are thrilled that Tamera has chosen Syco Music as her label home, she is a bonafide star!"
Simon - who is set to return to the judging panel later this year - is said to have been a big fan of the teenager throughout her performances on the show last year.
A Syco source told The Sun: "Simon was always incredibly keen on Tamera - he's been a huge fan.
They added: "There's definitely something special about her and that's been really clear on the tour.
"She looks stunning and there's an exciting quality to her performances – she's a potential superstar in the making. She could be huge."
