'There's always been sex, drugs and rock & roll' Kylie Minogue defends raunchy Miley Cyrus
SHE has been hitting headlines for her raunchy antics and sexualised performances for the past year, but it doesn't look as though Miley Cyrus is in everyone's bad books.
Kylie Minogue, who was herself a young pop star, has revealed that she doesn't understand what all the fuss is about, and in fact, has a lot of admiration for the Wrecking Ball star.
Speaking to Sky News, The Voice judge said: "I admire people like Miley, like Rihanna, girls that are just… they are so unapologetic about what they're doing.
"Is it too much? It depends on what your personal taste is. But she's definitely a scapegoat for what might be happening in the broader sense in pop music."
She added: "There's always been sex, drugs and rock and roll. But… the guys seem to get away with it."
45-year-old Kylie released her first single in 1988 and has enjoyed years of success thanks to her well-received music.
But despite her success, she admitted that being famous can often be lonely.
"I definitely have moments where I'm…quite morose," she revealed.
"Everyone has to of it, you have to go down sometimes.
"I can feel quite lonely… my job and my lifestyle is not something everyone can relate to."
Kylie recently opened up about her dreams of becoming a mother, and revealed that she hasn't ruled out the idea of adoption.
The Spinning Around singer, who has always been open about her desire to have a family, spoke frankly about her lifelong dream of having children of her own, but admitted that she is coming round to the realisation that it might never come.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Life took a different turn.
"Part of my new beginning this year is to accept having a baby of my own might not be for me, which carries sadness."
Before adding: "I'd consider adoption."
