Like mother, like son: Madonna and son David wear matching suits to the Grammy Awards
SHE'S recently acquired a new toyboy, but last night Madonna paid special attention to another male in her life - her son David.
The Queen of Pop brought her eight-year-old adopted son along to the 2014 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, and they certainly looked like the perfect mother and son duo as they posed for the cameras together.
Wearing matching black suits, Madonna and David stood back-to-back and pulled serious faces for photographers, before Madonna spent a few moments alone with her black cane.
The singer's slender frame was almost hidden in the masculine Ralph Lauren trouser suit, which included widelegged trousers and a double breasted blazer.
The white shirt and black tie was her own addition along with her heels and black hat.
David, wore very similar attire and completed his look with black and white brogues as he crossed his arms and glared at the cameras.
The youngster revealed that it was his decision for the two of them to wear matching suits.
When asked my E!'s Ryan Seacrest if he chose the attire, he replied, "Yes I did," before adding, "Yes she does follow my lead."
"We're both working the Ralph Lauren angle. He wanted me to wear this," Madonna continued, before explaining why she had chosen to wear a grill.
"Yeah, I'm grillin'," she said, "It p***es everybody off when I wear my grill, so that's why I wear it. I wear it when I don't have to eat. Actually, I've learned to eat with my grill in."
And while David wasn't wearing the matching accessory, he did say that his famous mother is planning to get him some.
"She said she'd get me a grill for this birthday," he said excitedly, while Madonna added: "We haven't had time, you have to go to the dentist and get moulds."
The singer later changed into a white suit as she took to the stage to perform with US rapper Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and singer Mary Lambert.
