Leona Lewis shows off tattoos as she wows in blue at Essence Black Women in Music event
LEONA Lewis stole the show last night as she arrived at Essence magazine's Black Women in Music event in LA.
The singer, who found fame on the X Factor back in 2006, looked stunning as she made her way onto the red carpet in a deep blue dress, which made the most of her stunning figure.
Adding a metallic waist belt and a pair of sparkling stilettos, the star looked every inch the belle of the ball.
But it wasn't just her killer curves that made her the talk of the night - the 28-year-old showed off a couple of new inkings too, which included a delicate feather on her shoulder and a flower on her forearm.
Oozing glamour and sophistication, the star made sure she kept her sex appeal by flashing a glimpse of her thigh in her frock, which features an asymmetric neckline.
Holding a small clutch bag in her right hand, the star kept the rest of her look simple - leaving her dress to do all the talking.
Leona wore her honey blonde locks in an exaggerated side parting and complimented her outfit with a smudge of blue eyeshadow before taking to Twitter to reveal how much fun she was having.
Uploading a snap of her with a friend, she wrote: "Funness at the @essencemag party :)."
The Bleeding love singer also took to the social networking site to praise fellow attendee Emeli Sande, who performed at the bash.
"I'm obsessed with blue at the moment! @emelisande performed beautifully last night at the @essencemag party," alongside a picture of her outfit.
26-year-old Emeli also showed off her flair for fashion at the event, opting for a thigh-skimming LBD and open toed sandals.
The songbird looked stunning as she made the most of her recent weightless and boasted a slender figure as she posed up a storm.
